What is describe world?
describe world is a project about criticism and place orchestrated by cmrn knzlmn.
We live within a context. That context is defined primarily by the movement of materials in specific locations. In the current moment, we are algorithmically drawn out of that context into a vast web of relations that are mediated by sounds and images. Our emotions, our rage, our unhappiness, our simple joys are fully consumed by a series of platforms that want to reduce us to a line of attention that they can monetize. describe world stands in opposition to this. As a project, it holds that there is value in analyzing context, and that the best criticism and thinking about the world has indexed existence at the level of local contexts and their structures.
describe world exists in a multimedia form. We are currently in Season 1 of the project, and it has three separate forms.
The first is the podcast describe world, which you can subscribe to here or on the podcasting platform of your choice (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, but you can probably find it anywhere).
